Transitions

My one and a half year old has shown me that transitions can be hard, particularly the unexpected ones. Unlike the sudden stock market meltdown, I think we were all expecting the arrival of fall with its fiery foliage and changeable weather.

Here is my last rose, which held on admirably, before fading away.
